Very crowded but very friendly stuff and great vibe. For the first time I saw so many people in one place working. The majority of them were probably students. I'll visit again soon! It was a very productive day.
I was excited to find a cafe that seemed to be devoted to work as that's quite rare in Athens, but I was slightly disappointed with Yellow Cafe. I attempted to visit and work 3 separate times so I believe my commentary is general rather than a one time thing. Overall, it was nice that many people were working, it was the perfect vibe for a work cafe. But it was also always packed and quite small, there are not many tables. On one occasion I had to leave because there was simply no space. Of course that is not the cafe's fault, but be warned that you may show up and not find anywhere to sit. My main concern was that unfortunately it was extremely noisy. Every time I visited, there seemed to be many young (university?) students rather than working professionals and they were in groups and speaking very loudly. The cafe was also playing their music rather loudly. This therefore made it impossible to make or receive professional calls or certainly conduct any sort of digital meetings. Perhaps a nice cafe to study in if you can drown out the sound or are comfortable with headphones, but certainly not suitable for freelance work or anybody having to do remote professional work. The internet was extremely fast which was great. The staff was very kind, and you're served at your table, so no need to get up. Coffee was average in price and a bit below average in quality. Seats were okay, wooden so not wildly comfortable but enough to get you through a few hours.
Favourite café to work with my laptop, alone or with my coworkers!
