Good multi-purpose libraries are what we should strive to as a society. I feel like the end-goal for laptop-friendly should be places that are widely socially available, and this particular library is a great place taken for granted. You don't see this level often while traveling. Architecturally grand, affordable, designed to study. I love the big window in front, I love the silence, I love the small atrium for a coffee break where the light from the ceiling comes down on the sculpture, I love having the space to take a walk around to ponder. Notable downsides are: air-conditioning in the central area could take you out to cold, be careful; kind of uncozy during the winter; the no backpack rule (often ignored) is just, just silly.
